Gross Profit by Prescription Report
The Gross Profit by Prescription report provides overall prescription totals and gross profit information for each prescription that was filled during the report period.
The report only includes prescriptions with a status of Complete or Amend. The following Group Rx Statuses for non-retail prescriptions are included:
A - Active Regular Dose | D - Daily (for Monthly NH Only) | I - Inactivate Regular |
O - Active Non-Drug | W - Active PRN Dose | X - Active External |
Fee for Service prescriptions, including Refusal to Fill prescriptions in British Columbia, are included in the report because 100% profit is obtained from these types of prescriptions. The costs and markups are $0.00 for these prescriptions.
The report can be sorted, filtered, and saved in Preview. Use the filter option to find prescriptions with gross profits below or above a specified value. Use the sort option to organize prescriptions by the columns on the report.

Start Date and End Date - generates the report for prescriptions filled within the date range.

Drug - lists prescriptions filled for the specified drug.

Third Party - lists prescriptions submitted to the specified Third Party.

Group - lists prescriptions filled for the specified group. The group name appears at the top of the report.

Custom Class - generates the report for prescriptions filled for drugs belonging to the specified Custom Class.

Intervention Code - lists prescriptions submitted to Third Parties using the specified intervention code.

Display Drug Name As - determines how the drug name appears on the report.

Generics Only - lists prescriptions filled for generic drugs only. The default for this setting is off. If selected, "Generic Drugs Only" appears at the top of the report.

Prescriptions to Include - determines which type of prescriptions appear on the report. The following options are available:

Capitation Pricing - only includes prescriptions with the Capitation flag on in Rx Detail Pricing Details window.

Regular Pricing - includes prescriptions that do not have the Capitation flag on in Rx Detail Pricing Details window.

PrescribeIT® - includes PrescribeIT® prescriptions only.

Rx# - sorts prescriptions by prescription number in ascending order.

Billing Code - sorts prescriptions alphabetically by bill codes entered in Rx Detail in ascending order.

Fill Date - sorts prescriptions by their fill dates from oldest to most recent fill date.

Patient Name - sorts prescriptions alphabetically by the patient's last name in ascending order.
